RUBBER

UAV data of Rubber plantation
They are plated in rows with density of 500 plants per hectare,

The rubber plant comes up well under fairly heavy and well distributed rainfall with high humidity (80%).  Weather conditions should be warm and moist so that the plant is induced to be in a state of continuous growth for the major part of the year.  It requires 2000 hr of bright sun shine at the rate of 6 hr per day through out the year.   Rubber grows well in highly weathered soils consisting of laterite and lateritic soils.  In some places, it also comes up in red and alluvial soils containing high organic matter.  It prefers well drained porous soils which are moderately to highly acidic in nature.  Soils must have a minimum depth of 1 m without any intervening hard pan or impenetrable layer. Water table should be well below 1 m to ensure good aeration for root penetration.
